- Delivered your way
Two ways to work with us. Your choice.
Same chemistry. Same sensitivity. Same data quality. Send samples to our accredited EU lab, or run SiMSen-Seq on your own instruments with LabSuite. The decision is operational, not scientific.
One platform. Two delivery models. Pick the one that fits your operations.
Some customers send everything to our lab. Some run everything in-house on LabSuite. Most do both, routing different sample types to different routes. There is no wrong answer.
Full-service Simsen lab
Send samples to our ISO 15189-accredited EU laboratory. We handle everything from sample receipt to clinical report.
This is for you if
You want the accreditation envelope, the turnaround and the interpretation done for you, without standing up an internal SiMSen-Seq pipeline.
- + ISO 15189-accredited sample handling and reporting
- + EU logistics across the Nordics, DACH, UK and Spain
- + 10-15 working day standard turnaround
- + Personalised panel design from your tumour sample
- + Clinical report with longitudinal view and interpretation help
- + Co-publication and protocol design support included
LabSuite, in your laboratory
SiMSen-Seq library prep kits and pipeline, validated to run on the sequencing platforms you already operate.
This is for you if
You have the bench capacity, want full control of the workflow, or are running volumes that justify an internal pipeline.
- + Library prep kits with the full SiMSen-Seq chemistry
- + Instrument-agnostic: Illumina and Element validated
- + Open, documented analysis pipeline
- + Personalised panel design as a service from Simsen
- + You keep raw data, control turnaround, run on your schedule
- + Onboarding, training and ongoing scientific support included
The trade-offs, attribute by attribute.
The science is identical between the two routes. The differences are operational: cost structure, control, turnaround, capability inside your team.
| Attribute | Full-service Simsen lab | LabSuite (your lab) |
|---|---|---|
| Chemistry and sensitivity | ✓ SiMSen-Seq, <0.001% VAF
Identical to LabSuite.
|
✓ SiMSen-Seq, <0.001% VAF
Identical to the full-service route.
|
| Cost structure | Per-sample pricing
Predictable, no internal capacity investment required.
|
Kit pricing + sequencing
Lower per-sample cost at volume; assumes you have the bench and instrument capacity.
|
| Turnaround control | 10-15 working days, standard
We schedule the run; you receive the report.
|
You decide
Run on your schedule, prioritise urgent samples, batch as suits you.
|
| Raw data ownership | ✓ Yes
FASTQ + BAM delivered with every analysis. You keep it.
|
✓ Yes
Never leaves your laboratory in the first place.
|
| Personalised panel design | ✓ Included in service
~2-3 weeks from tumour sample.
|
✓ Delivered by Simsen
Panel design as a service from us; you run the panel.
|
| Bioinformatics pipeline | Simsen pipeline
Open, documented, reproducible. Run your own pipeline against the raw data if you prefer.
|
Open Simsen pipeline + your own
Same pipeline, runs locally. Replace any step.
|
| Scientific support | ✓ Co-publication, interpretation, protocol design | ✓ Onboarding, training, ongoing scientific contact |
The science is identical. The decision is how you want to operate it.
Whichever route you choose, you are running the same barcoded duplex chemistry, the same error suppression, the same panel design. A sample run through LabSuite in your lab and the same sample run through the Simsen lab return comparable results.
The questions we get most often, answered honestly.
-
Will I see the same sensitivity if I run LabSuite in my own lab?
Yes, when the kit is run to protocol on a validated sequencing platform. We onboard every LabSuite customer with a paired-sample validation run so you can confirm sensitivity in your hands before going live. If a result diverges from what we see in the accredited lab, we will tell you why and what to change.
-
What sequencing platforms is LabSuite validated on?
Illumina platforms most European laboratories already operate. We do not require a proprietary instrument and we will not push you toward one. If you are on a platform we have not formally validated, we will run a paired validation with you before signing you up.
-
Can I start with one and add the other later?
Yes. Many customers start with the full-service route because it is the shortest path to a result, and add LabSuite once they have built internal capacity or volume justifies it. Others start with LabSuite for discovery and add the accredited lab for confirmatory work. The contracts and pricing are designed for that.
-
Who designs the personalised panel?
We do, in both cases. Tumour sample comes to Simsen, the panel is built, and either runs in our lab or is shipped to yours as a LabSuite component. Panel design is a Simsen service regardless of which delivery route you choose.
-
What about data and IP?
Your data is yours. Raw FASTQ and BAM are delivered with every analysis in the full-service route, and never leave your laboratory in the LabSuite route. Pipeline and protocols are documented and open. We do not claim ownership of patient data, your panel design, or downstream analyses you build on top of the output.
